Russell W. Silva
November 20, 1947 – July 8, 2024
Russell was a great man who touched everyone he knew. He never knew a stranger even if it took him talking to you for 30 minutes trying to figure out who he knew that knew you too. He had 5 kids, 14 grandkids and 8 great grandkids but he was a “Dad” and “Papa” to so many more! Everyone he knew had a special place in his heart. He lived quite the life. He had so many stories to tell. Russ cowboyed all over and had such a love for horses. He worked for T.I.D. for 30 years and had a whole family of friends there. He loved to watch his grandkids do anything and everything they liked to do and was so proud of them all! He loved history, reading, making people laugh and in his later years he loved being a pastor and sharing his love for God!
Russ leaves behind his children Shawn (Amber) Haney, Rodney (Jennifer) Silva, Todd Silva, Dawn (Jason) Watkins, Amand (Kevin) Parmley and Iaon Sayors (grandson); siblings Bob (Brenda) Jefferis, Peggy Nelson, David Silva, Tony Machado, Kathy (Ed) Silva, Tammy (Ron) Lancaster and Scott Silva. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Silva; and parents Manuel and Jean Silva.
Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 4:00-7:00p.m. Funeral service will also be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10:00a.m. with private interment to follow.
