Bob was born and raised in Pasadena, California. He served in the United States Navy where he was stationed in the Philippines. After his time in the service, Bob returned home where he married the love of his life, Sharon Weilein, and together they shared 63 years of marriage. Sharon and Bob settled in Turlock after marriage and had three children. He was a hard worker; driving for UPS for 37 years, farming the family land and was a reserve officer with Modesto Police Department. His hobbies included woodworking and gold panning. However the two most important things in his life were his faith in the Lord and his family.
Bob leaves behind his wife Sharon Shipley; children Judy Almand, Janet Shipley and Jeannie (James) Zarbano; grandchildren Richie (Kat) Villegas, Kiah (Joey) Collins, Derick (Nicole) Vessel, Tiffanie Lomoljo and Mckaylie (Mark) Elmore; great grandchildren Brooklyn Villegas, Rowen Collins, Kaelyn Villegas, Theron Vessel, Noelle Vessel, Reigney Collins and Danielle Vessel.
Private services will be held at a later date.
