Jeannie Mercer had a revolving door into her home.
Jeannie Louise Mercer, a longtime resident of Turlock passed unexpectedly in her sleep November 6th 2024 at 77 years young. She was born July 10th, 1947 to Rodney & Marie Mercer in Hanford Ca.
She was predeceased by both her loving parents.
She leaves behind two sisters, Sandy McDonald and Margaret Wright. Jeannie had two natural children and several step children ~Shannon Yonan, Joey Yonan (Ladonna) Julie Yonan Moore (David), and Amelia Yonan (Clint Salee).
She had 5 Grand children: Erica Florini Guedea, Sanora Yonan (Joe), Jaime Cole (David), Atticus Salee and Anna Salee and 5 Great Grandchildren: Stella and Harrison Cole, Castiel, Sadie and Elijah Guedea as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces that she loved dearly.
Jeannie loved to travel and instilled that in so many above. One of her favorite places to visit was Los Barriles Baja California Sur, Mexico which she visited for over 40 years as well as the California and Florida coasts and many cruises.
Jeannie always had an open and revolving door for anyone who needed a place to stay. One such even stayed for over a decade!
Jeannie wore many hats throughout her career. She owned Jeannie’s poodle grooming, she was a successful Realtor for many years before she became a full time painter. She even wrangled her sisters, son and many others to complete a project on time if needed. She retired many years ago and truly enjoyed her grandchildren most of all.
She and her best friend Nancy enjoyed watching Survivor each week over a glass of wine since its inception as well as playing weekly dominos and cards with the gals.
A celebration of her life and love will be held at Allen Mortuary, 247 N Broadway, Turlock CA on Saturday, November 23rd from 1:00 to 3:00pm. ”
