In Loving Memory of Betty L. Fox

Betty L. Fox, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, at the age of 87.
Born on November 4, 1937, in Lyons, Kentucky, Betty married the love of her life, Raymond L. Fox, at the tender age of 16. Together, they built a beautiful life, first in Louisville, Kentucky, and later settling in Merced, California, in 1970. There, they established Ray’s Heating and Air Conditioning, a trusted local business that served Merced County for 47 years.
Betty was known for her vibrant spirit, love of bingo, and the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren. Her warmth and dedication to her family and community left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Betty is survived by her loving children: Louis Fox, Billy Fox, Terri Jensen, and Cindy McMurry. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one brother Donny Baird. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 2017, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil, Ronny, and Bobby Baird and sisters, Hazel Brown, Edna Clardy, Ann Strange, and Linda Hunter.
A committal service to honor Betty’s life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in San Nella, California.
