Dean passed away in Modesto on November 22 after a brief illness.
He was born on September 10, 1951, in Modesto and lived most of his life in Ceres. Dean worked for Save Mart Supermarket for 42 years, retiring as assistant store manager.
He is survived by his wife Genevieve Lucas of Ceres; his children Jeff Lucas of Carson City, NV, Wes Lucas of Mariposa County, CA, David Lucas of Modesto, Sam Davison of Ceres and Brian Ayala-Lucas of Ceres; his siblings Terry (Vicki) Lucas of Oakdale and Alan (Sally) Lucas of Waterford, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive him.
A celebration of Dean’s life will be held at the Denair Community Center, 3850 N. Gratton Rd. in Denair on Tuesday, December 3 from 4pm to 6pm.
Memorial gifts in Dean’s Memory can be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Sacramento.
