Dennis Larsen, 69, of Turlock, CA, passed away peacefully in January 2025. Born in August 1955 in Gilroy, CA, to Patricia and Gordon Larsen, Dennis lived a life filled with family, nature, and a quiet strength.
Dennis enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving honorably for four years as a specialist in Precision Photo Systems. He earned the distinction of Audiovisual Person of the Quarter, a testament to his dedication and skill. Following his service, Dennis joined his father at Veggi Cool, continuing a family legacy.
He is survived by his daughters, Alayna Larsen of Turlock and Alyssa Stanchel of Atlanta; his brothers, Steve Larsen of Sacramento, Dave Larsen of Newman, and Richard Larsen of Turlock; and his grandchildren, Amanda Larsen Jones, Henri Stanchel, and Myles Stanchel. He was predeceased by his parents, Patricia and Gordon Larsen, and his brother, Jeff Larsen.
Dennis graduated from Gustine High School and cherished spending time in nature, especially hiking and camping with his family. He found joy in listening to music, particularly classical, bluegrass, and the Grateful Dead. A devoted reader, he also enjoyed watching sports.
Known for his quiet demeanor, Dennis always ensured his loved ones knew they were cherished. He courageously battled cancer for seven years, ultimately succumbing to the illness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
