Kevin Ray Dehart passed away suddenly on January 19, 2025. Born in Modesto, California, Kevin spent most of his life in Empire, California. Known for his boundless energy, Kevin was always on the move—whether working on a project, helping someone out, or just visiting family. His signature phrase, “I gotta go,” was often heard as he was on to the next thing, never staying in one place for long.
A true Jack of all trades, Kevin had the ability to tackle any challenge that came his way. He was resourceful and capable, a man who could figure out almost anything. He loved the open road, especially when driving his pickup truck, listening to his favorite classic country tunes, and spending time with those he loved—his children and grandchildren.
Kevin had a great sense of humor, always quick with a joke or a playful remark to make others laugh. He was a natural conversationalist, never shy, and could strike up a conversation with anyone—even communicating through sign language with the deaf. He had an innate ability to connect with people.
Kevin is survived by his daughters Tara Dehart, Sierra Dehart, and his son Korey Dehart, as well as his three sisters, Darla Huddleston, Sandra Borecki, and Shannon Lannon. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Manuel, Andrew, Amelia, Levi, Adrian, Jaxon, Madeline, and Luke. Additionally, he is survived by twelve nieces and nephews, twenty great-nieces and nephews, and two great-great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Ray and Elizabeth Ann Dehart, as well as his brother Daryl Dehart.
Though he is gone, the memories of Kevin will live on forever in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
