September 23, 2020 at 6:33 pmIt was with deep sadness that Linda and I read of the passing our very great family friend DD. Our many memories of D and our mom Mary Kokal and her wonderful friendship go back many years. D and mom traveled to many counties together sharing good times in what ever country they were in and we have many pictures to memorialize the events. In their working days TGIF’s at Mary Kokal’s home were a regular event with DD, Mary K, Mary Baker, Cleo Cooper and others. The wine and conversation was flowing, never a shortage of stories. We always remember DD as such a kind, warm, personable, caring person. When DD found her “soul mate” in life Frank, we think it just took DD’s life to a new level of happiness and love. They always told us about all their frequent travels to their favorite island Tahiti and all the fun times they shared together. It was clear to us that Frank had completed her life. Heaven is for wonderful souls like D. I can see Mary Kokal, Cleo Cooper, Mary Baker and DD right now smiling down on us saying “It’s OK, we are happy together and reaping the satisfaction of serving the Lord on earth and now in heaven”. Our prayers are with DD, but especially with Frank and his family in his time of loss. We pray he will be able to smile knowing DD is at peace and be able to reflect on all the wonderful memories he has of his time with a beautiful woman.
