Fred Nelson, age 76 of Turlock, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Fred was born in Bridgewater, Maine and grew up in the Bay Area before settling to Turlock 30 years ago. He started a doughnut shop in Fremont and another one in Union City. He was a jack of many trades. After he sold the shops he worked for Stinson Ranch in Delhi for 10 years. During his retirement he was a carrier for the Modesto Bee for a few years. Fred was a member of the Turlock Sportsman Club and enjoyed going to the gun range and golfing.
Fred is survived by his longtime partner, Diana Braden, son Frederick Nelson, Jr., daughter Jennifer Solorio, and grandson Matthew Nelson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 3pm – 5pm at Allen Mortuary.
