Sammy Carrillo

May 29, 1976 ~ January 25, 2021

Sammy Carrillo passed away at the age of 44.  He leaves behind his wife Michelle Carrillo; children Sarah Valenzuela, Sammy Carrillo, Mia Carrillo and Jesse Carrillo; grandchild Giovanni Valenzuela; mother Juanita Carrillo and siblings Joseph Carrillo, Rachel Carrillo, Michael Carrillo, and Carmen Carrillo. He was preceded in death by brother Jesse Carrillo.

Sammy worked at The Wine Group in Ripon, CA. He took pride in his great work ethic and always challenged himself to do the best he could.  His main priority was spending family time and providing for his family. Celebrations and holidays meant the most. He was the life of the party and loved to cook and feed everyone. He enjoyed fishing, deep sea fishing, gaming, playing pool, gardening, cooking, grilling, watching UFC and most of all watching football. He was a Raiders fan and was known for yelling Raiders the loudest.

His huge smile, personality and contagious laughter will be deeply missed. He was surrounded by so many people who loved him dearly.

Private family services will be held for immediate family. For those who would like to send flowers, services will be on February 6 at 1 PM.

Once you have submitted your condolence, it will be approved by our staff during office hours, then published on your loved one’s page.

    Sammy
Thank you for all the good memories! Definitely will miss the delicious food you shared with all of us. Will never forget all the get togethers for games, fights, birthdays, camping all the holidays. Political debates will never be the same and of course no Raider game will be as loud.
You treated me and my kids like family. They lost a Tio but we’ll forever cherish the good times.

Rest In Peace Sammy! Gone but never forgotten….

    Sammy, My Comps,

I never thought the last meal we would have had together would be Thanksgiving, but I know how important family and holidays were to you so ill cherish that day forever. I wished I could have hugged you tighter that day and told you how much you meant to me and to all of us. Always laughing, celebrating good times, singing together, being loud, we never ever had a dull moment together.

You taught us that you can persevere and overcome any struggle and obstacle in life. You just got to keep fighting and that you did. You taught us to be unapologetically yourself- you were loud, proud and larger than life. I’ll miss your laughter and huge smile most but that is how I will always remember you Comps.

Thank you for loving Michelle unconditionally and being the best husband and father to the kids, always giving them the best no matter what.

This is not a goodbye but rather I’ll see you later; in the meantime, in my heart is where I’ll keep you.

    Love you Comps.

  4. Alyssa, Jose, Luzinda & Linda says

When I first met Sammy, he had a smile that was definitely contagious. Twenty plus years later and that still rings true. The smile Sammy brought out in Michelle was like no other, even when they were youngsters. I know everyone’s memories of Sammy have to include him smiling and that’s the best way to describe how he made people feel.

I know the family will always miss his presence, as we all will, but his heart will always be with them, as his family was his life. Sammy proved to the world where his heart lies, by working hard to care for his wife, children & grandchild. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you all. May God continue to give you the strength you need to get through this difficult time. May Sammy Rest in Peace and be your Guardian Angel.

Michelle-May your awesome memories of Sammy remain forever in your heart. Sammy was a true friend, husband and father! He loved you and his children so much. When he spoke of you all, when you all danced, when you sang, his eyes lit up and he always spoke so fondly of you and all you guys did! It always warmed my heart. He will be deeply missed. My heart was broken when I heard the news! However, it was consoling to know he was no longer suffering and is with the Lord God resting in peace!
