Betty Brenda December 9, 1926 - September 2, 2021

December 9, 1926 – September 2, 2021

Betty Brenda, 94, died peacefully on the second of September 2021.  As a faithful servant of our Lord, she was ready for heaven but will be so missed by many here on earth.

Betty was born in Caseville, Michigan on December 9, 1926 to Frederick and Elizabeth Brenda.  She was the 7th child born to her parents who immigrated from Germany.  In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in death by her siblings Fred Brenda, Ben Brenda, Priscilla Fraser, Marguerite Brenda, Ollie Beiser, Albert Brenda, Lenore Wilson and David Brenda.  In total there were 10 children in the family and Betty is survived by her sister, Lilly Gary of Turlock.

Betty’s sister Ollie, and her husband, Forrest Beiser both passed away in 1980 leaving four children.  Betty, without reservation, unofficially adopted these four children, Cynthia of Corrales, NM, Melodee of Clearwater, FL, Forrest of Turlock, CA and David of Dublin, CA.  Betty looked after these four “kids” who called her B – their second mom, seven grandkids who called her Grandma B, and three great-grand kids who called her GGB.  She has some very special nephews and nieces who called her Aunt Betty but many just called her a saint!

Quite adventurous in her younger years, Betty lived in Germany in the early 1960’s teaching Army dependents and traveled to many countries in Europe and surrounding areas.  She came back to teach at elementary schools in the Turlock area then followed her sister Ollie and her family to live in Sacramento; she taught in Woodland, CA until she retired.  In 2001 she returned to Turlock to be close to her surviving sisters and brothers.  For the last couple of years she lived with her niece, Cynthia, and her family in New Mexico, but she always called Turlock home.

She was humble and low key.  She loved to laugh, joke and rhyme.  As one of ten kids, she enjoyed entertaining her family.  Her legacy lives on through her sister’s kids, grandkids and great-grand kids.

Betty’s family and friends will be celebrating her life at Allen Mortuary in Turlock on September 25th at 11 am.
