Atha Oleta was born to Oliver and Alice Burch on September 17, 1927 in Calvin, OK. She was the 11th of 13 children. She moved to New Mexico in childhood and then onto California where she met and married Gerald Bonander on June 14, 1947. Gerald and Atha were married for 68 years when he passed in 2015. Atha was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Turlock for 74 years.
In addition to her husband Gerald, Atha was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Bonander.
Atha is survived by her children Randall Bonander of Modesto, Richard Bonander of Turlock, Jerry Bonander of Hughson and Aleece Yearicks of Knoxville, TN, her brother Roy Burch of Woodland Hills, CA, 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at 10am at Allen Mortuary.

November 1, 2021 at 4:36 amAtha was a very dear friend of mine. I am so grateful to have known her. We lost touch once I moved to Oceanside, CA in 2016. I communicated with notes since phone calls became harder for Atha. I loved Atha and now she is reunited with her beloved Gerald. So grateful to God that three days before Atha’s passing I was passing through Turlock and the staff allowed me to see her for a few minutes. It meant the world to me
