July 1932 ~ June 2022
Helen June House was born to Andrew and Ramona (Fugitt) House in Sacramento, CA, on July 13, 1932, and passed into eternity on June 5, 2022, just 38 days shy of her 90th birthday. She grew up in the St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in Sacramento, attending Immaculate Conception Grammar School and St. Francis High School. As the oldest in a family of girls, she had three younger sisters, Beverly Bertram (deceased), Judith Miles, and Arlene (Ronnie) Gifford. She met John Bold in 1960 and they married on April 15, 1961. To this union was born four sons, John Joseph Jr. (wife Debbie), Daniel Philip (deceased), Gerald William (deceased), and Patrick Donald (wife Melody).
Her greatest joy was making a loving home for her husband and children, and later, grandchildren, and she loved planning and hosting family gatherings in her home. After her children were grown, she enjoyed traveling with her husband. They especially enjoyed visiting missions and lighthouses along the California coast. She welcomed her sons’ spouses into the family, making them feel like daughters, and her grandchildren, Daniel, Jonathan, Christopher (deceased), Sarah, and Faith, brought her great pride and delight.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two sons, one daughter-in-law, and one grandchild. Left with sweet memories are her husband of 61 years, two sons and their wives, four grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 10th from 5-7pm at Allen Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held at All Saints University Parish in Turlock on Saturday, June 11th beginning at 11:30am with a graveside to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.

June 13, 2022 at 2:00 pmHelen was the BEST mother-in-law anyone could ask for. Her delayed sense of humor and needing to explain the joke were endearing…She who laughs last, laughs best. She was always there for us, especially as young parents, always happy to see the grandkids, and after greeting them, happy to see us too! We will miss holidays with her as hostess (always planning the next one), listening to her reminisce about her early life and siblings, and always feeling welcome and loved. We trust she is with Jesus enjoying rest from her labors and look forward to a grand reunion some day.

June 9, 2022 at 1:47 pmI will always remember Mrs. Bold’s sweet smile and companionship at the hospital where our grandsons shared a room. I remain especially grateful for her compassionate kindness to me at a moment of overwhelming horror and helplessness as I watched my baby grandson’s suffering after a carelessly done procedure. Mrs. Bold came right over to me and put her arms around me to comfort me as I sobbed on her shoulder. She shared my tears and my sorrow. It was her compassionate support that enabled me to get through that moment so I could get back to helping my son and daughter -in-law with my grandson. All my memories of Mrs. Bold are filled with her sweetness. I look forward to the day when I hope to be her companion again in eternal joy .

June 9, 2022 at 11:41 amHelen was a joy to be around and i remember many visits and get togethers with the family, and she and John were always welcoming hosts. She always expressed a genuine interest in the well-being and activities of each person she knew. Even this spring when she wasn’t well, she still expressed that interest int each person.. Helen will be greatly missed. Condolences to each of the family.
