Irene Nobre passed away at the age of 96 on August 28, 2022. She was born in Taunton, Massachusetts and make her way to California when she was a young woman. She was part of a motorcycle group called the “Chicken Coop Riders”, because they met in an old chicken coop. She worked in the shipyards during World War II welding and fabricating for the war effort. Irene enjoyed making her grandkids handcrafted stockings for Christmas. She was very skilled at knitting and crocheting. Irene was the member of several organizations in the East Bay area such as St. Joaquim San Lorenzo, 7th Day Adventist Church, and Ashlyn Holy Ghost. Irene adored her family! As her family grew, all the babies were a joy to her. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She and her husband of 74 years of marriage would travel all over the country together. Everyone loved Irene, everyone called her Nana. She was a generous, positive, kind person. Irene was a mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She will be missed.
Services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Tracy Memorial Chapel, 5 W Highland Ave Tracy, Ca 95376
