Kenneth (Kenny) was born in Yonkers, NY to Paul and Mary (Bielinda) Kubichko. He joined the military when he was 18 years old and served in the Army and Air Force in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He continued in the military until he retired with 28 years. While in the Air Force reserves, he worked at Yosemite National Park for 15 years as a prep-cook and made life-long friends with other Park employees.
He married his loving wife on January 2, 1993, in Modesto, CA before they were deployed during Desert Storm. They came to live in Mariposa, CA for 20 years and still have life-long friends living in the area. While living in Mariposa, most days you could find him with his friends at the Miner’s Inn – laughing, playing dice, and having a drink. He loved to go to Santa Cruz Boardwalk, to eat crab, lobster, clams, and hot fudge Sundays and enjoyed getting jewelry and people watching. He also liked going to the casino and play all of his spare change. He enjoyed watching racing on television, old television shows like Gilligan’s Island, Mash, The Munsters, Abbott and Costello. His favorite Disney character was Goofy.
The last year of his life, they moved to Fresno, CA to live in the Veterans Home due to advanced Parkinson’s Disease.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary, father Paul, and ex-wife Annie. He is survived by his wife Karen, son Skye and wife Sarah, grandchildren Sophia and Samuel “Sammy”, his sister Carol Conely, and nephew Ryan Renebome and his wife Jennifer.
