Jerrel Kenneth McAlister, 91, born in Lexington OK on November 13, 1931, passed away on October 8, 2023 in Turlock CA. He graduated high school from Kerman, California. After high school he joined the Airforce. He met and married Barbara Copeland at church in Kerman in 1954. He spent most of his career after the Airforce as a car mechanic. After he retired he worked at Schell’s gun shop. Jerry loved fishing and watching basketball, baseball, and football. He played softball into his late 70’s. He also loved to travel all over the United States. Jerry was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in both Turlock and Kerman.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara and daughters, Rhonda Ramsey (Gary) and Janice Sandstrom (Bill). He also has 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.
Services for Jerry will be on October 16, 10:00 am at Allen Mortuary. Internment will follow at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
