Arline Carnemolla
April 1942 – October 2023
Arline Carnemolla, age 81, a 23-year resident of Turlock, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. Arline was born in Western New York state, grew up and was married there. She moved with her first husband to Northern California in the early 1960’s. Shortly afterward he suffered a debilitating accident leaving him in a coma for the last seven years of his life. Arline became a nurse to care for him around the clock at home. Arline remarried in the 1970’s and lived joyfully in the Bay Area, the Central Valley, Florida and then again in the Central Valley.
Arline was a consummate caregiver. She lived her life in ceaseless, and active service to her family, patients, friends and community. Arline had a very gregarious, warm and welcoming personality. There was always a comforting place at her table, in her home and in her heart for all. She deeply loved and cherished her family “all over her heart”. Baking, singing, crafts of all sorts, church participation, caring for family and helping and supporting all she knew to be in need were her passions. Arline was an active member of All Saints University Parish.
Arline is preceded in death by her first husband Paul and her second husband Sam. She is survived by one son, three step-children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild, her mother and sisters and brothers. Arline was deeply compassionate, tireless in her caregiving with an overflowing joy for life and a friend to all. She always had a ready embrace, a helping hand, a comforting touch and an open ear. Now she is comforted and comforts eternally.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., preceded by a rosary at 10:30, on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at All Saints University Parish, Turlock.
