April 1935 – January 2024
Byrdena Theis passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. She was born April of 1935 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Commodore and Pearl (Green) Gray. She came to Turlock in 1940 and married James Theis in 1951. Byrdena retired from Tri-Valley Growers after 25 years of employment. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing slot machines, and most of all loved spending time with her great grandson.
Byrdena is survived by her daughter Brenda Theis, granddaughter Amy Theis, and great grandson Jared Theis. She is preceded in death by her husband James Theis in 2015, son Randy Theis, and siblings Durell Gray, Donald Gray, Betty Bible, Bobbie Sherr, Doyle Gray, Dorman Gray, Barbara Keller, and Blendine Broyles.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 starting at 10am with the funeral to follow at 11am in the Heritage Chapel at Allen Mortuary. Interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.

January 24, 2024 at 3:39 amSo very sorry for your loss you’ve been by your grandparents since you was a baby, you made sure they got to know your baby Jarod, and you we’re never more than a phone call away to come when ever they called. You were the angel in your Grandpa’s eye’s you would care for not just your grandparents but your Aunt Brenda as well, and still are.
Your mother & father would be and are so proud of you.
