James (Jim) West
August 23, 1937 – June 5, 2024
Jim was born in Crofton, Nebraska but he did not remain there long. His family, including younger sister Joan, moved to Oregon and then Washington. In 1955 he joined the United States Air Force and with his wife, Charlotte and two children the family transferred several places. Jim loved his Air Force career as an inflight refueling technician and instructor. Jim retired from the Air Force in 1976 from his last assignment at Castle Air Force Base in Atwater, CA.
Jim worked several civilian jobs and finally retired following the death of Charlotte in 2000.
He met Pam Clare in 2011 and they married in 2012. He gave his life to Christ in 2013. Jim and Pam moved to Turlock in 2014 where Jim noted that he lived happily until his death on June 5, 2024.
Jim was predeceased by his parents; his sister Joan and infant brother; as well as his wife Charlotte.
He leaves behind his wife Pamela West; daughter Kim (Jeff) Heyer and granddaughters Tiffany (William) and Christine (Tyler); son Greg (Yoko) West; stepdaughters Christina (Nathaniel) Rhoads and Shana (Al) Lemke. He will be missed by his step grandsons Elijah, Luca, Anthony (Skye), Jacob and Justin.

Memorial service will be held at New Life Christian Center, North Campus on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10:00a.m.
