April 1952 – Sept. 2018
Cathy Cook did it!! With a courageous heart and strong perseverance, she finished the race”¦
On Friday, September 14th, 2018 at 1:44pm, many gathered and witnessed the moment Cathy
was called home.
She was born on April 13th, 1952 in Modesto, California to her loving parents – JC and Faye
Honeycutt. She was the oldest of three children, having two younger brothers – Steve and Kenny.
Cathy leaves behind her Mother – Faye Honeycutt, Brother – Steve Honeycutt, Daughter and
Son-in-Law – Christa and Brian Isidore, and Granddaughter – Tori Isidore.
Cathy was a hard-worker and took pride in everything she put her hands to. She worked for
many years as Music Secretary and Student Ministries Secretary at Bethel Church in San Jose”¦
and later as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Affymetrix in Santa Clara, California. She
loved everyone she worked with and they loved her.
She was a woman that showed grace and forgiveness to anyone who wronged her”¦ and through
that she taught others how to heal and find restoration in their relationships with others.
Cathy had a beautiful alto voice – and loved using her voice to worship The Lord. The day
before she left, she was surrounded by her loved ones – worshipping and lifting high the Name of
Jesus. The last song she sang said”¦ “˜Oh how I love Jesus”¦ Oh how I love Jesus”¦ Oh how I
love Jesus”¦ Because He first loved me”¦ To me He is so wonderful”¦ To me He is so
wonderful”¦ To me He is so wonderful”¦ Because He first loved me.’
Through life’s ups and downs Cathy never wavered in her faithfulness and love for her Jesus”¦
she found Him to be faithful and true to His word”¦ now she sees Him face to face. Our God is
Awesome!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways
acknowledge Him – and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6.
Please join us to celebrate Cathy’s life on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:30 am, One Church – Turlock, 200 North Avenue, Turlock, CA. Reception to follow.

October 20, 2018 at 3:41 pmKathy was one of the nicest, sweetest people I’ve met. While on staff at Bethel from ’87-’94 I never saw her without a smile on her face, joy in her heart and a sense of peace that she shared with everyone. Love and comfort to all of your family members. Think on the good things. She’s still smiling on everyone.

September 23, 2018 at 10:08 pmMama Cook always made it a joy to come to Bethel’s Youth Department. Her love for Jesus and those around her radiated through her smile (and her beautiful red hair helped with the radiating effect). I thank God for her example and love she shared with so many.

September 18, 2018 at 2:06 pmWhen we first met Cathy over 18 years ago, we became like family. When my hubby was in the hospital one year on Christmas, Cathy & her family made Christmas dinner & had gifts under the tree. She was going to bring it to the hospital, but he got released & we went to JC & Faye’s & celebrated with them. That’s the kind of caring & loving person our sweet Cathy was. We will miss her but we know she is in heaven & waiting for all her family & friends to join her one day.

I love you Momma.
