Carol Coffeen Robbins, wife of John “JR” Robbins, Division Chief Retired from MMU, passed away Monday November 14th after a two-year battle from the effects of a stroke.  Carol had 25 years as a VIP (Volunteer In Prevention) with CDF, she worked the Mother Lode Fair. She loved fires, motorcycles, horses and cats.

Carol rode her bike to the east coast twice, Canada twice, and all over the USA. Carol had ridden over 300,000 miles on her Harley. Carol rode with JR and many, many members of Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club (an international motorcycle club for firefighters who ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles, which Carol had been a member for more than 20 years and JR had been International President) to Sturgis, South Dakota many times. Carol died at home with JR at her side, at last her pain is gone. A sad day at the Robbins house.

Carol is survived by two sons: Randall who lives in San Francisco and John who lives in Jamestown and is retired from MMU as a Fire Captain with his wife Heidi, grandkids Kyle, who is a Firefighter in TCU, and Katelyn who is an artist from Sonora.

Carol comes from a long line of firefighters. Her father, Frank Coffeen retired as FAE in MMU and her great grandfather was also a firefighter in Oklahoma.  JR worked with CDF/CalFire in TCU, RRU, SCU and MMU.

There are no public services planned at Carol’s request. She said she wanted her friends to remember her through memories of good times together.
