Adela Galvan Schmall passed away in Turlock on January 5, 2023. She was born in Billings, Montana to parents Carlos and Carmen Galvan.
Adela worked for the government during WW2. She also worked as a dental assistant both in San Jose and Turlock, and for Kelly Girls Services. Adela was a member of the Ladies Aux. of the Veteran’s Foreign War Post 5059 for 50+ years and was a member of the Catholic Widows Club.
Adela was preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Carmen Galvan, husband Arthur Schmall, son Arthur Schmall, Jr., daughters Ramona Parker and Toni Custer, brothers Ruben and Ignacio Galvan, and sister Susanna Cloward.
She is survived by her daughters Josephine Agnew and Susan Coslett, sons George and Paul Schmall, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at 11:00am at Turlock Memorial Park.
