Al Mesa July 18, 1928 - November 16, 2022

Alfred Flores Mesa was born in Merced, CA on July 18, 1928, to Joseph Mesa and Rosa Flores. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 16, 2022 at the age of 94.
He is preceded in death by his wife Edna Mesa, amd daughters Brenda Brenda and Marlene Staley. Al is survived by his nephew Greg Mesa, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Al served his country in the US Army from 1950-1951. Al joined the Masonic Lodge in 1970 which was his passion where he held many positions and earned several awards. Al loved to volunteer and cook for the lodge, including his enchiladas and salsa, and his favorite ice cream and cantaloupe social, which he loved so much.

Al loved talking to everyone he met and loved telling jokes to his friends and family. He enjoyed watching them laugh. Al’s wish was to attend a 49er’s football game which he was able to go to, and received the VIP treatment as he stated.

Al will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Al’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Turlock Masonic Lodge, 108 S. Thor St in Turlock. Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to a Masonic charity of your choice.

A celebration of Al’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:30pm at the Turlock Masonic Lodge, 108 S. Thor St in Turlock. Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
