May 1944 ~ February 2018
On Monday, February 5, 2018, Alan Clark Mayfield, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, lost his battle to lung cancer at the age of 73. Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Kathee, and his children Jeni (Tony) and Carrie (Dan). He was preceded in death by his son, Rich, in 2008, who died at the age of 42. Alan will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Heather (Robert), Ethan, Sydney and Brooklyn, as well as great-granddaughter Harper, his extended family and dear friends.
Alan retired from the City of Modesto after spending 38 years as a dedicated public works employee and subsequently worked part-time alongside his wife at Derrel’s Mini Storage for 8 years. For leisure, he enjoyed RC airplanes, fishing, hunting, camping and carpentry.
A viewing will be held on February 10th from 12-2pm with a memorial service at 2pm at Allen Mortuary, 247 N Broadway, Turlock, CA.
