Alex Randy Amongol, 64, known as Randy by those who loved him, passed away February 3, 2025, in Merced, CA.  He was born on January 5, 1961, in Redwood City, CA and he graduated from high school in Mountain View, CA. He was a roofing contractor, worked for many years in construction and remodeling homes with his 3 sons working alongside him later in life.

Randy had a passion for coaching kids in baseball and softball and was a coach for many years, starting with his children when they were just 4 years of age. He coached many years with Hilmar/Stevinson Youth baseball and coached several of his daughter’s travel softball teams. He also coached a girls’ softball team alongside his daughter Jasmine in Merced, CA. He was currently coaching freshman boys at Golden Valley High in Merced. He was highly respected and valued for his knowledge of baseball and softball and for his dedication to volunteering his time to the kids. He was also a musician, who enjoyed writing his own music and appreciated different genres of music.

Randy met his wife Jeanene in 1989, and they were married soon after where they built a life together with their 4 children. Randy leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Jeanene, sons Justin Silva, Alex Amongol, granddaughters Justine, and Jaelyn Silva, his brother John (Dana) Amongol, and his beloved dog Sophie.

Randy is preceded in death by his father John C. Amongol, his mother Maria C. Delgado, stepfather William Branson, daughter Jasmine Amongol, and son Tanner Amongol.

Randy will be missed, loved, and remembered always.

A celebration of life will be held on February 22, 2025, at 4 pm at Allen Mortuary 247 N. Broadway Turlock, CA.
