July 30, 1959 – June 8, 2020
On the 8th of June this world lost a great man, Allen Dale Michalec. Dale was born on July 30th of 1959 in Turlock, Ca. He spent some years in Florida but returned to the Central Valley where he resided until his untimely death at the age of 60. He was a paid volunteer firefighter for 32 years and worked as a civilian federal firefighter for 25 years. He retired as such from Lemoore Naval Air Force base. He was also a member of Wind & Fire Motorcycle club and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. He enjoyed many things in life including his favorite sports teams the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, and Alabama College football and softball teams. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his father Allen Arthur Michalec and sister Pamela Serna. He was a great family man and will be truly missed by his wife Tonette Michalec, mother Doris Goodman, stepmother Bernadette Michalec; and his children Victoria and Gabriel Guerra, Stephen Michalec, Robert Michalec, Jr Michalec, Gizmo Lopez, Candice Kennedy, David and Zoya Mireles, Angela Mireles, Edward James, Kristy Michalec, Kiesha Michalec and Chandra Petrillo. He was a wonderful proud Papa to 19 grandkids and had 1 great grandchild.
There are too many lives Dale touched and people he influenced to name all that are at a loss by his departure. He was a hero, a leader, a mentor, a friend, and a memorable person. Although he is gone, he will live on forever through our memories. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

June 28, 2020 at 9:11 pmAs the mother of his three sons,Edward,Stephen, and Robert- of course I have many great memories!
I loved Dale Michalec BEFORE he accomplished his lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter. I LOVED this man when he was a chicken catcher at Foster Farms and came home smelling of ripe chicken manure..LOLOLOL! Even at that, he gave his all to provide for Edward James and I. He loved that boy as his very own- and his family took us in just the same way. We up and moved to Florida in the summer of 1980, where his mother and her family also welcomed us with open arms. I will probably always wonder how life would have been had we remained, but life is long and the changes are sometimes quick and unforgiving. We went back to California with a couple of buns in the oven! Stephen and Robert come in April 1981 to an eagerly awaiting family!
Dale cried when those boys were born- bringing their big brother into the hospital to meet them, simply GLOWING with pride and love. I don’t think I have LOVED anyone as much as I did him at that moment…
I didn’t know how my heart would break when I heard you were gone Dale. Here I thought I was mad at you all these years
I thank you for the precious treasure of our children and grandchildren. Our little Caleb is a firecracker just like you!
I guess I will always be a little sad knowing you’re gone from this world. I pray that someday we will ALL meet again in a beautiful world.
REST WELL DEAR HEART.
Love you always JOANE

June 20, 2020 at 11:52 amI remember when Orion was born and your dad “relocated” my car for me as a joke. I have never been more panicked in my tender 18 years. He laughed and laughed until he cried. However, after, he calmed me down and made me understand the importance of paying attention to details. He was a good man. We continue to send love and light to the families!

June 19, 2020 at 10:00 pmI worked with Dale at what was JR Woods in Atwater. We worked together for 2 years before he left to work again as a Federal Firefighter. There were many a night where we just sat around our office shooting the breeze about firefighting, our favorite sports teams, and life in general.
Dale will be truly missed.
Rest easy brother, we’ll take it from here!
