Antonio “Tony” Ferreira passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2021 at home. Tony was born on February 19, 1959 in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal. At the age of 16 he moved to San Jose, where he met the love of his life, Dilia Ferreira. They married in 1980 and started their family, having 3 sons, Elvino, Fernando, and Jimmy.
Tony had a love for music, which he passed along to his sons. He greatly enjoyed landscaping and working in his garden, he made the best salsa. Tony was known for his cooking, although sometimes a little too spicy, and having a talent for working on cars. Tony took pleasure in having his friends and family gather around the picnic table to play cards, drink wine, and visit.
Tony is survived by his wife, and best friend, Dilia Ferreira; his sons, Elvino (Dawn), Fernando (April) and Jimmy (Kayla); 3 grandsons, Carson, Luke and Logan; 2 granddaughters, Hannah and Alexia; brother, Jose; sisters, Fatima, Guilhermina, Lucia and Paula; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his brother, Carlos.
Visitation will be held from 4pm-7pm on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Allen Mortuary.
Funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Allen Mortuary, followed by an interment at Hilmar Cemetery.
