Barbara Sue McAlister, 85, born in Salisaw OK on October 19, 1938, passed away on November 21, 2023 in Modesto CA. She met and married Jerrel McAlister at church in Kerman in 1954. Barbara was a homemaker who worked various part time jobs while raising their 2 daughters. She also loved to travel. Her favorite hobbies were working puzzles, reading, and playing games. Barbara was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in both Turlock and Kerman.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Ramsey (Gary) and Janice Sandstrom (Bill). She also has 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Velma, Helen, and Shirley, and her brother, Dale.
Services for Barbara will be on Friday, December 1, 10:00 am at Allen Mortuary. Internment will follow at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
