Barbara Trost September 3, 1952 - October 22, 2022

Barbara Davis Trost has passed away at the age of 70. She was born to Harvey and Norma Davis in Turlock California. She lived in the Turlock area and the area of Rail Road Flat, California. She attended Modesto Junior College, California State University Stanislaus and University of the Pacific, where she earned her master’s degree. She enjoyed being a librarian for a few years and she worked as a psychotherapist for nearly 30 years. She married the love of her life, Henry Trost, September 16th, 1972. In 1979 they were blessed with their only child, a daughter, Amy.

Barbara enjoyed the outdoors, camping, California history, visiting ghost towns, The Lone Ranger, wildflowers, photography, music and Girl Scouts. She was a Girl Scout leader for more than 15 years. She loved her family and her Savior, Jesus Christ. She has been described as lovely, kind, bubbly, truly great, strong, beautiful, loving, nice, a very special friend, wonderful, sweet, caring, a great influence, amazing, compassionate, and genuinely loved. She was Sunshyne.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Amy Trost, of Delhi, CA., and her brother Randy Davis of Hilmar. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Trost and her parents Harvey and Norma Davis.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, from 4pm-7pm at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. The funeral will be on Wednesday November 2nd, 2022, at 1pm at Allen Mortuary. There will be a graveside to follow at Turlock Memorial Park, and then a time of fellowship and food.
