Betty Lou Tucker August 24, 1943 - January 23, 2024

Date of Service

February 10, 2024

Betty Lou Tucker of Denair, CA has passed away at the age of 80, peacefully at home, with her husband and family by her side.

Betty was born in Monterey Park, CA to Thomas and Jeanette Dunn. She was welcomed into the world by her siblings Thomas Dunn, Richard Dunn, and Ida Post, then followed by Linda King, Ronnie Dunn and Peggy Huggins. In 1963, she married Ronald Tucker and together they raised their children and grandchildren.

Betty worked different jobs throughout her life, but her main role has been as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She and Ronald raised 3 children together and later adopted their granddaughter. She loved her role as a grandma to 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty had a big heart and always ensured that everyone around her was well taken care of- including all the neighborhood kids when her children were young. Betty enjoyed crocheting, gardening, playing cards, baking, talking on the phone with distant friends and family, playing games on her computer, and overall being surrounded by family and friends, having a good time filled with love and laughter. Ronald says that some of his fondest memories are of him and Betty going dancing, and nobody will be able to forget Betty making everyone laugh with her no-filter comments and personality.

Betty is survived by her loving husband Ron Tucker, her children Sherri Mercado, Robert Tucker, Serena Kochhar, and Carley Maurer, along with her 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, February 10th starting at 4:00pm. A visitation will precede the funeral, open from 2-4pm, and a Reception will follow at The Carnegie Arts Center from 5-7pm.
