Brenda Kay Tuggle-Vasquez, 64, passed away, peacefully in her sleep, on March 5, 2024. She was born on November 1, 1959 at Modesto City Hospital. She attended Paradise Grammar School, Somerset Junior High School and Beyer High School. She went on to attend Modesto Junior College where she studied Business. Shortly after college, she worked for Modesto Imaging Center in 1990 and was awarded the Billing and Collections Supervisor position for many years. She married Bernard Vasquez on July 25, 1981 at First Foursquare Church in Modesto. They later divorced in 1994. Brenda is survived by her seven siblings: Wanda Crawford (Gordon), Joe Tuggle (Dorothy), Debbie Weiglein, Chris Tuggle (Jamie), Rick Tuggle, Timothy Tuggle, and Kevin Tuggle. She is also survived by her four children: Sarah Doornewaard (Mike), Nicole Grogan (Adam), Gabe Vasquez (Amanda) and her step-daughter Rachael Silvaz (Felix). She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 3 great-children, as well as her partner, Richard Nottbohm and 17 year old chihuahua, Princess. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Richard Tuggle and Geraldine Hyde-Tuggle.
Brenda was known for her lively spirit, loving heart and kindness, especially for those in need. Her memory will be treasured by her family and by all whom were touched by her presence. Brenda’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved.
As we bid farewell to Brenda, we do so with heavy hearts, but also with a deep appreciation for the time we were privileged to share with her. We feel solace knowing her soul has met her Lord and Savior and He has filled her with eternal peace.
