Brian Christopher Vastine, 37, of Turlock passed away unexpectedly December 12, 2022. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents Sherry Vastine and Gary Gilstrap, his grandmother Diane Pinzon, his brother Darren Vastine, his sisters Kassandra Dagnino and Macie Gilstrap, his Uncle Jason Horne and Nephews Zechariah and A.J.
Brian was a graduate of Calvary Temple High School in 2004. “BriBri” or “B” as he was lovingly known, will be forever carried in the hearts of his family and friends.
Raised in Ceres, California, Brian grew into the incredible human being and gifted athlete we all knew and loved. He was blessed with God given talents that propelled him to success most never know. He loved and excelled in football from the days of Pop-Warner all the way through high school; eventually becoming one of the top running backs in California. He gave everything he had out on that field, every single game.
Brian was a true friend to his friends- ready and willing at a moment’s notice to endure any hardship for the sake of friendships. All that knew him know he had his own sense of humor, and his smile and laugh were infectious to all who were blesses to witness it. Faith, family, friends, and football brought unmatched joy into his life.
Since Brian’s passing, many have written about how special he was and how fortunate they were to have known him. They will remember fondly of his company; how good he made them feel, how free they were to be themselves around him. Brian had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring others happiness and such a bright future. The world is a lesser place without him. But Heaven is a better place to keep our treasure.
