Bronall was born in Tahoka, Texas to SJ and Kelsie Heaslet. They moved to California when he was six months old and settled in the Bakersfield/Wasco/Shafter area. He graduated from South High in Bakersfield 1960. Immediately after high school he joined the army and was stationed in Verdun and Trois Fontaine, France. He settled in Turlock after the service and was employed by Nordic saw and tool manufacturing. He found his niche and stayed for 44-1/2 years. He started out sharpening saw blades, but he had an engineer’s mind and always could figure out complicated problems on the job. Eventually his primary job was to fabricate and manufacture pieces for customers who came in and had a special problem and Bronall, in essence, invented the part needed. One of the items he designed was a cutting tool to make special trim for George Lucas’ home on the Skywalker Ranch. He also did much handiwork and construction for their home, including building furniture. He married Linda Womack in 1967 and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage. They loved to travel and took many trips including a trip to the Holy Land.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and attended mostly in Hughson. In 2016 they found the home of their dreams in Crescent City, California in the giant redwood forest. They enjoyed their years there in addition to their home in Denair.
Bronall is survived by his wife Linda, his brother Steven (Linda) Heaslet and his sister Linda (Stephen) Tucker, 17 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He was particularly close to a great niece Raelynn Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents SJ and Kelsie Heaslet.
The family requests no flowers but contributions in his memory may be made to the Hughson Christian School.
A Memorial service will be held at the Hughson Church of Christ on Saturday, February 10th starting at 11:00am.
