Carmello Cerezo October 19, 1959 - October 21, 2024

Date of Service

November 15, 2024

With grateful hearts and joyful remembrance, we celebrate the life of Carmello Cerezo, who was  called home to be with the Lord on October 21st, 2024, in Modesto, California, at the age of 65. Carmello was born on October 19th, 1959, in Walnut Creek, California, and spent his life sharing love, laughter, and joy with his family and friends. Now, he rejoices in the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and is forever at peace in His arms.

Carmello was a man of many talents and passions. For many years, Carmello worked as a boilermaker, a profession that demanded both strength and precision. His colleagues admired his skill and work ethic, and his craftsmanship left a lasting impact on the many structures he helped build and maintain. Carmello was known for giving his all on every job, often working long hours in challenging conditions. His commitment to his trade was not just a career—it was a reflection of his character.

Beyond his work, Carmello found joy in the simple things in life. Whether it was casting a line out while fishing or playing basketball with his nephews, moments that brought him great happiness. He was also a skilled musician, using his guitar to praise the Lord and bring joy to those around him. He had a deep appreciation for the arts, spending countless hours expressing himself through his artwork. His playful spirit and kind heart made him a joy to be around, especially for his family, who loved him dearly. His infectious laughter, caring heart, and genuine love for life will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

We take comfort in knowing that Carmello is now reunited with his parents, Jose and Hermenia Cerezo, and his brother, Robert Cerezo, in the eternal kingdom of Heaven. Carmello is survived by his loving brothers Edward Joe Cerezo and Johnny Cerezo, as well as his cherished sisters Margie Cerezo, Shirley Battle, Katherine Bernardo, and Marlyne Monroe. He was also a proud and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory with them for years to come.
