Carol Ann Spina, 85, passed in Modesto, CA on June 12, 2024.

Carol was born and raised in Turlock, CA and attended Turlock High School before moving to Modesto, where she eventually graduated from Downey High School in 1957.

Carol worked as a stewardess for American Airlines for two years before she returned home to marry Bud Fountain in 1960. After his passing in 1973, Carol returned to school to become a nurse, which led her to a position at Doctor’s Hospital. She then worked for the Department of Corrections as an MTA and nurse, eventually retiring after twenty-two years as an officer in 2010.

She is preceded in death by her brother and sister, Robert Berryhill and Brenda Smith. She is survived by her son Jerry Fountain (Karen Fountain) of Denair and grandchildren Walter and Garret Fountain of Denair.

A Graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park on Friday, June 21 starting at 10:00am.
