Carolyn J. Hansen of Turlock, California has passed away at the age of 83. She was born in Turlock, CA to George Peter Hansen and Myrtle M. Garner Hansen.
Carolyn was a kind and caring person. She attended Hawthorne Elementary School and graduated from Turlock High School in 1958. As a child, she loved being in Brownies and Girl Scouts. She was independent and self-reliant. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and actively participated since she was a young girl. She had a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and would often share it with others. She enjoyed serving others. She loved to crochet, make holiday crafts, sing, play the piano, listen to Elvis Presley, and the Choir at Temple Square. She was the family historian, and a lifelong genealogist. She was the 10th of eleven siblings with 7 sisters and 3 brothers. Carolyn loved being an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, and help others find the lighter side of life. She would often call others just to see how they were doing and to ask if she could do anything for them. She was a caring and compassionate neighbor and enjoyed visiting with them often. Carolyn worked as a secretary in the health care field for over 20 years. She was a great example of courage, strength and integrity. She will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful Aunt, Great-Aunt and Great-Great Aunt. She is preceded by her parents George and Myrtle, her siblings Christina, George, Chris, Arthur, Violet, Gladys, Marjorie, Dora, Betty, and Grace.
A graveside service will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on Monday, Sept 30, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
