Charles Clinton Walker was born in Panoka, Alberta, Canada to Walter and Ruth Walker and passed away at the age of 97 in Turlock. He had two brothers Stanley and Wesley Walker. On August 29, 1946 Charles married Bertha Mae Blevins, and together they had four children, Sharon (Ben) King, Cynthia Oie, Louis Walker and Kenneth Walker; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bertha; his two brothers and great grandson Austin Peterson and step daughter Pamela Cole’s husband Gene Cole.
In 1988, Chuck met Mary Ines Lindbeck at Evangelical Free Church and they were married on December 31, 1988. Ines also has four children: Peter (Marge) Lindbeck, Linda (Lloyd) Hagstrom, Sheryl (Doyle) Whisenhunt and Pamela Cole; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Chuck served during World War II in the United States Air Force and was a proud veteran. During his time in the service his plane was shot down in Hungary and Chuck was a prisoner of war.
Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5:00-7:00p.m. A graveside service with military honors will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 9:00a.m. at Turlock Memorial Park. Memorial service will follow the graveside at Covenant Village-Berg Hall at 10:30a.m. on Tuesday the 19th.
