Cheryl Lynn Phillips, a beloved resident of Turlock in Stanislaus County for 40 years, passed away on November 18, 2024, in Denair, CA, at the age of 67. Born on August 28, 1957, in Gardena, California, Cheryl was a true “jack of all trades.” She held certifications in nursing, truck driving, and hairstyling, embodying a spirit of hard work and versatility. Cheryl also spent time with her family in Kansas City, Kansas, that was truly a blessing to her life.
Cheryl’s life was defined by her unwavering faith and her dedication to serving others. She was passionate about spreading the gospel and took joy in feeding and clothing the homeless. Her warm and giving heart was evident to all who knew her. Cheryl attended Freedom Church, where she found fellowship and shared her love of the Lord.
She is survived by her only sister, Diane Bullard, her children: Wanda Bogan, Gary O’Brine, Sandra Bailey, Justin Bailey, and Melinda Sensanbaugher. Cheryl was not only a mother to her own children but also a mother and grandmother to everyone she met. Her love and kindness extended far and wide, touching countless lives.
Cheryl, known as Nana to those who loved her, leaves behind 15 cherished grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love, faith, and compassion.
A viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary, Saturday December 7, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, in Allen Mortuary at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Turlock Memorial Park.
Cheryl’s loving presence, infectious kindness, and steadfast faith will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be a blessing to those she touched.
