Christian Nelle April 4, 1960 - December 6, 2018

Christian Nelle

1960 – 2018

Christian Nelle was born on April 4, 1960.  He is survived by his spouse of 38 years, Rebecca Nelle.

Chris spent most of his life in Turlock working as an electrician.  He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.  He loved life, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with his family.  Chris’s greatest joy in life was time spent with loved ones.

Chris met Becky while at church in 1979.  He spent the rest of his life serving the Lord faithfully.

In addition to his wife Becky, he leaves behind two surviving sons:  Steven (Kelly) Nelle and Patrick (Julie) Nelle, both of Turlock, and 5 grandchildren.  Chris and Becky had one son who preceded them in death, Ryan Nelle, who passed away as an infant in 1982.  Chris is also survived by his mother & stepfather, Verdeena and Jim Harris, his father Don Nelle and brother, Darin Nelle.

Christian was a humble man, a quiet man, but had a huge presence.  He is greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A private graveside service will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on December 14, 2018.  A celebration of life will be held at 3pm on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at Richland Faith Assembly of God Church, 1201 Richland Ave., Modesto.

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death so that as Christ was raised from dead by the glory of the Father, we might walk in the newness of life.   Romans 6:4

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a gift be made to Richland Faith Assembly of God Church, 1201 Richland Ave., Modesto, CA  95351.

Once you have submitted your condolence, it will be approved by our staff during office hours, then published on your loved one’s page.

Excellent and touching movies are made of the friendships and events that are a product of our High School Years. My memories of those coming of age years will always and forever include Chris, Darin, and the Nelle family who lived right down the street from me. These priceless memories were the beginning of the fabric of what would become our adult lives. The events and stories of those times would make for a rich and colorful script full of friendship and humor. Becky for you, your family and Chris’s family, I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope we are all able to find peace knowing Chris is wrapped in God’s love till we see him again.

Chris – I will always cherish our high school memories together. Playing on the soccer team, working the snack wagons, cruising around in your yellow Trans Am and top-heavy pickup truck (which you tipped over), eating squab, and of course all the good times at church. See you soon in heaven.

So very sorry for your loss. We last chatted with Chris at Brittany’s wedding. The three of us stood staring at all the desserts discussing which might be the best. We laughed and decided one of each might be the way to go. We will cherish the memory that the last time we saw him, he was all dressed up, looking great, smiling and laughing. May he Rest In Peace.
