Damon was born in Chowchilla, CA to Farrel and Mary Packer. Damon was preceded in death by his father Farrel Packer. Damon leaves behind his son BJ (Sarah) Packer, his brother Kelly Packer, his mother Mary Packer, his best friend One, and many nieces, nephews aunts and uncles.
Damon graduated from Turlock High School in 1982 and was a Turlock resident for most of his life. Damon’s career started with his love for big rigs. He owned and operated his own trucking business and was a successful truck driver for many years. Damon will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Damon will always be remembered by his contagious laugh and his larger than life personality. His greatest joy in life was spending quality time with his son BJ and always trying to show off to BJ and his friends by burning out in his trucks. In his spare time you would find Damon at the lake fishing or at the casino winning big money.

June 29, 2019 at 9:16 pmDamon We dd not get to see you very often but when you came up here to gamble it was always a pleasure to have you around. Your sense of humor always knocked our socks off. We will miss your phone calls when you would ask it this was Don’s wife or Fred’s Mother. You were a bright light in a dull world. Safe travels and may you rest in peace. Your passion for knowledge was admirable and you and I shared many ideas and you always managed to surprise me with anything that came out in our discussions. You were a gentleman and a scholar of life and truth.

Well my friend, life will never be the same now that you’re gone. There’s a really big hole in our lives where you used to be. I’m certainly going to miss your one of a kind insight on every subject at hand. You are one of a kind Damon. Being your friend was an honor. Loving you was easy but missing you will be so hard.
You are a Legend Damon and your memory will live on in all of us. -Keith-
