Daniel Paul Wengert, aka Danny Boy Floyd, passed away at the age of 58 at his home in Modesto, CA. Danny was born July 9th, 1964 in Kingston, New York. Danny graduated as a Live Oak H.S. Graduate in Morgan Hill, CA. He later went on to the Institute of Technology Web and Graphic Design and MJC for Autobody/Collision Repair/Refinishing. This training took him to work on his passion in life–high end classic car restoration and automobile repairs and restoration. Danny enjoyed going to car shows and restoring cars. He would go boating, fishing, and enjoyed gardening. His love for cars took him annually to Graffiti Week. He received numerous show car awards for his cars. He was passionate about building and creating anything he could think of. He enjoyed playing drums and loved his dogs. He was a member of the Modesto Throttlers Club, Fastlane Car Club, Escalon Sportsman’s Club. He met his partner Deanne Crandell in 2004 at Graffiti Weekend.
Danny is survived by Marissa Cagle, Salem, OR (daughter), Dagan (grandson), Tesla (granddaughter), Annika (granddaughter), Daniel Wengert Modesto, CA (son), Zelda (granddaughter), Sheila Kauffman, Hindsville, AR (sister), and Stephen Wengert, Los Angeles, CA (brother). Danny is preceded in death by his parents Werner S. Wengert, Loveland, CO and Eleanor Jean Wengert, Fond Du Lac, WI.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 10:00am held at Allen Mortuary.
