    Well Dad,

I’m finally working up the courage to post…

In the 32- plus years since I first met you, I have so many memories! I still remember the first day I met you. Sitting at the table in Mom’s apartment. I thought you were so shy but it was just good acting on your part! You proved to me ever after what a loving, outgoing man you were. I’ll never forget your 40th birthday and how we surprised you so well! After you got back up off your knees from fright, we really did have a great time! Your ability to laugh so much brought joy to so many. Your advice was always heart-felt and free and we never had a conversation that I didn’t truly enjoy. I would do anything to have one more hug from you and to hear you call me “sweetie” just once more. Thank you for making all of the birthdays and Thanksgivings and Christmases all of the years we lived in California and for loving Mom all these years. I know in the “books” you were step-dad but you were always just “Dad” to me! I’ll be missing you and loving you always!
    Kristen

Dave, I remember you from the 70’s. All those summer BBQ’s and swimming, all the Thanksgiving family dinners. Looking back you were a stand up Man, taking on fatherhood early on with all the responsibilities it brings. Richard, David and Brandon were lucky to have you as their Father. I never met Barbara, but she was special to have you. I’ll miss your big , beautiful smile.

Now that you have passed so sudden, Funny thing is I love lamb now. & never did before. Your passion for cooking was a conversation we had in my kitchen many times. You always asked what was in my crockpot, & how did I make it. Reflecting back to the years of just being a kid when I met you. You were the true cool wolf man Jack I am going to miss you so….
