David was born in 1933 in Echo Park, Los Angeles to Raymond and Rosemary Andya. He was raised in San Francisco. David married Barbara, the love of his life, in 1956 and they lived for many years in Southern California, where he worked in real estate and sales. He moved to Garden Valley, California in 1976 and there he owned Dave’s Manhattan Creek convenience and grocery store for 25 years. He retired to Turlock, CA, living there for the last 15 years.
David was a community leader in Garden Valley, served as president of Rotary Club of Georgetown and earned a Paul Harris Fellow recognition. He loved travelling within the United States and Europe.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Barbara Andya; children Patricia Eighmey, James Andya and Michael Andya, MD; five grandchildren Michelle Eighmey-Briw, Jennifer Pillig, David Eighmey, Robert Andya and Megan Andya; and one great grandchild Cameron Pillig.

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Funeral will also be at Allen Mortuary on Saturday at 12:00p.m.
