June 1958 ~ August 2021
Debra Renee Faria (Brown), age 63, died peacefully with her husband and daughters by her side on August 22, 2021 at their home, after a quick and courageous battle with cancer.
Debra or Renee as she was known in her early years, was born June 1, 1958 in Fresno, California to Gracy O’Carroll and Paul S. Brown. She was raised in Turlock, CA and graduated from Turlock High School in 1976.
Everyone that knew her, knew of her loud and beautiful personality. She was always the life of the party and her infectious smile would light up any room.
Debbie had a heart of gold, and would do anything for her family and all her friends, which were a big part of her life. She was always “glad we got to see her” and she will be forever loved, missed and never forgotten by all those who knew her. We hope she continues to dance like no one is watching, until we meet again.
Debra is survived by her loving family, husband of 28 years, Joaquin Faria; her children Lisa Baroda, Jesse Holguin, John Faria, Krista Faria, Derrick Faria and Brianna Faria; and 8 grandchildren Jenessa Tellechea, Jenna Holguin, Jaxx Baroda, Kayden Holguin, Genevieve Faria, Judea Bennett Jr., Jaelynn Bennett, and Liam Faria, all of whom cherished their mother and Nana very dearly.
Debbie was the daughter to Gracy O’Carroll, mother, Dolores Brown, step-mother and was preceded in death by her father, Paul S. Brown. She was also the oldest sister to her 6 siblings, Paul E. Brown, Randall Brown, Diana Brown, Jeanette Sammuli, Christine Louro and Thomas Brown.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 6:00pm. Mass will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00am.

September 4, 2021 at 12:16 amI was new to Modesto and Deb marched right into our lives when Derrick and my oldest son became friends. I had the first birthday party for my son and she was the only mom there who wasn’t family helping, chatting, and becoming a good friend.
Deb was funny, welcoming, generous, encouraging, honest, forgiving, and such an amazing soul. Not a shy bone in her body! She welcomed my son into their family, opened her door to us all, visited every now and then to catch up. Deb will be missed by all who know her. She was loved by our family.
