Della Ann Rodriquez (AKA Chata) was born August 11th, 1953 in Turlock, CA and died November 27th, 2022.
Chata was born in Turlock, CA on August 11th, 1953. Those who knew Chata knew that she was an amazingly strong woman, a Godly woman, the glue that kept the family together. Her faith in God was so strong that her light radiated and beamed off anyone who met her. Even though Chata had medical problems, she always kept strong and believed that God had a plan for her. Her light never stopped shining.
She took care of every one of her family members and even friends. Chata would give her last dollar to help someone in need. She was an avid Bingo and Casino goer. When Chata was mobile she would never miss a day of Chicken Ranch bingo or the local bingo halls.
Chata had two daughters, Carmen and Rachel, and three grandchildren Ruben, Esai and Decimas. Her grandkids would tell her she’s “The World’s Best Nana”. She also had many nieces and nephews. Christina was a niece who Chata was very close to and raised her like her own daughter. There are also many other nephews and nieces who loved their Tia Chata so much. Chata had five brothers and two sisters, Danny, Freddy, Max, Edward (Red), Ruben (chapo), Irene, and Rachel, and her mom Josephine and dad Ruben.
Chata was an active member of Olive Leaf Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith in God was very important to her. Chata was ready to go Home. She fought hard, and long. She peacefully died surrounded by her family.
