Donald (Donnie) Reynolds of Modesto has passed away at the age of 68. He was raised by Thurman and Modena Reynolds in Hughson, California. Donnie served in the Navy from 1971 to 1977, completing two tours to Vietnam during the Vietnam War. For his service in the US Navy, he received a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, a Meritorious Unit Commendation, and a Combat Action Ribbon.
Donnie was a friendly man who loved his children, fishing, listening to the Oldies, Lil Debbie Brownies, and all things chocolate. Prior to a debilitating head injury in 1989, he was known for being exceptionally gifted at designing and building custom woodwork projects in the areas of cabinetry, shelving, and other unique creations for homes and businesses.
Donnie is survived by his four children Leilani Snow, Dawn Cole, Wesley Reynolds, and Brandy Costa, the mothers of his children Lynn Curtis and Darlene Ramsey, his siblings Connie Hankins, Cathy Reynolds, and Bruce Reynolds, and his grandchildren.
Donnie is preceded in death by his father Thurman Reynolds, mother Modena Reynolds, and brother Michael Reynolds.
A brief graveside service with US Navy Honors will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Monday, September 5, 2022 at 8:00 a.m.
