December 1920 ~ March 2021
Edye Marjorie Miller, affectionately known as Marge or Margie, was born Dec. 6, 1920 to Mary (Callie) and Lewis Davidson. She passed away at Bethel Assisted Living Residence on March 11, 2021 under Hospice care. Recently she celebrated her 100th birthday at her home in Modesto with friends and family.
Marge was brought up in Hollis, OK, met her future husband, Theo, and moved to Calif. where he began his tour of duty in the Navy during World War II. They raised four children, she worked in the home, and also played a part in the community with the different roles she contributed to. As children, we enjoyed many wonderful trips on our vacations together.
Later in her life, Marge took the position of Math Technician for China Lake Navel Weapons Center in the Civil Service. After they retired, Marge and Theo took many trips down to San Felipe, where they camped and explored the Baja area. They were married for 62 years. She became a member of Calvary Baptist Church when they moved from the desert to Modesto, where she acquired lifelong friendships.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband and immediate family, mother, father, brother and bister as well as other family members over her long life. She is survived by her four children, grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, you may honor her name by a donation to Calvary Baptist Church or the Humane Society, as she was very fond of her many dogs over the years.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 18th at Calvary Baptist Church at 11 AM followed by a luncheon and fellowship. A celebration of life will be held at her home in Modesto on Saturday, March 20th where all are welcome to come.
