Glenn Navarro, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, passed on July 18, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ursula, their daughter, Alana Navarro, their son, Andre Navarro (wife, Stephanie), and granddaughter, Adeline. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Manuel Navarro.
As a child, he grew up in Mountain View, California where he attended Isaac Newton Graham School and Mountain View High School.
In 1976, he moved to the Turlock area and attended CSU Stanislaus, graduating in 1981 with a BS in Social Sciences.
Glenn was the President of Ripon Manufacturing Company where he was employed since 1981 when he started as a parts helper.
Glenn and Ursula were married in 1981 and began their life together in Ripon. In 1985, they purchased their first home in Modesto. In 1988, they started a pistachio farm on his folks’ 10-acre parcel in Turlock. His life was full with working at RMC and being a weekend farmer.
Glenn was an active member of Turlock Golf and Country Club and sports member at Spring Creek Golf and Country Club.
In 2005, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He endured surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and clinical trial treatments at UCSF. Glenn made friends with many employees a as he visited frequently for treatments, scans, infusions, and chemo. He was well-liked and admired for his positive energy and determination to live life to the fullest despite battling cancer.
Glenn’s life was well-lived. He enjoyed pistachio and later almond farming. He traveled to Spain, Australia, and Chile on several business trips. Family trips were enjoyed to Maui, San Diego, Seacliff Beach, Tahoe and Palm Desert, which always included golf.
A private graveside service will be held at Turlock Memorial Park soon.
