Gloria Jean Chenault

Sept. 1942 – Sept. 2020

Our beloved “GG” Gloria Jean Chenault, 78 years of age, left this world to be with the Lord on September 24, 2020. She passed at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House with her loving family by her side. She was born September 10, 1942 in Turlock, CA.

Gloria is survived by her husband Bobby Ray Chenault; sister Mary Wanda Corsaut; children Nora McAlister (Mike), Bobbie Rocha (Jim), Roderick Chenault, Traci Chenault (Raphael), Deana Ragsdale (Raymond), and Leana Jones (Kris). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Roger, Brad, Jason, Jennifer, Kevin, Jeremy, Summer, Kaila, Avery, Zoe, Kylie, and Brett; great grandchildren Journey, Roger, Anthony, Kaylee, Hayden, Haley, Audrey, Layna, Colt, Mia, Austin, Skylar, Presley, and Braxton; sister in laws Wanda Sandberg, Selma Chenault, and Debbie Chenault; brother in laws Bob Sandberg, Johnny Chenault, and Manuel Mello; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lawton Samuel Stewart and Violet Marie Rackley; father and mother in law Ray and Irene Chenault; brothers Robert Joseph Stewart (Bobby Jo) and Lawton Allen (Pody) Stewart; brother in laws Wendall Corsaut and Tommy Chenault; and great granddaughter Kaitlyn Davis.

Gloria will be remembered for her kind heart, willingness to help anyone, her way of making each and every child, grandchild and great grandchild feel that they were her “Special One”.

She will also be remembered for her faith in our Savior Jesus Christ, her sense of humor and the love she had for her family and friends. She never met a stranger that would not instantly connect with her. She loved going for “Rides” which usually meant a “Casino Trip”. She loved playing Dominoes and Cards, she also loved to crochet. Before her passing, she tried to make sure that everyone got a blanket made by her.

We have now gained an Angel who will continue to watch over us all and we will forever hold on to her memory. She will be truly missed.

Due to the current situation, we will not be having a service. We will be having a “CELEBRATION OF LIFE” on her birthday next year: September 10, 2021! Save the date and come celebrate with us!

Once you have submitted your condolence, it will be approved by our staff during office hours, then published on your loved one’s page.

I will remember Gloria as a second mom to me and my family. When I was a youngster she would take me along like I was one of her own. A loving caring lady who I adored I’m so thankful we found each other after many years apart. A earth Angel who is now in heaven with my daughter. Till I see them again. I love you to the moon and back.
