Jan. 2018 – July 2018
James “Jay” Sabin, 45, a kind and loving son, husband, father, uncle and brother, passed away suddenly this week. James was born to Wayne and Rebecca Sabin in the winter of 1973 in Turlock, California and lived in Turlock his entire life.
Jay was a charming man who was very kind-hearted and caring. If someone was in need, Jay would give the shirt off his back and anybody his last dollar even if he was hungry. He also could be sarcastic and was a big jokester with a different type of sense of humor. He loved playing basketball and sports with his kids and enjoyed working in his yard. Early mornings and late nights was individual time he spent with each of his kids as he was a “hands on” dad or as the family called him, “Mr. Mom”. Jay was also “Mr. Fix-it” for friends and neighbors. He was always willing to lend a hand or an ear, was non-judgmental and gave good advice. To say Jay will be missed is an understatement. There will be a hole in many people’s lives but he will live on forever in their hearts.
Jay is survived by his wife Anita and father Wayne; children Deven, Ty and Zackriah Sabin, Martin and Daniel Fittje, Macie Tillery, Brandon Crawford; brothers Brian and Josh Sabin, sister-in-law Amy Fittje. Jay was preceded in death by his mom Rebecca.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the “Go Fund Me” account set up through Facebook. Please share your memories on this website.
